It's time for a new journal!

Last Wednesday, on July 1st, I got the keys for my flat. I still can't believe it, it's my very own flat! Nah.. it's a rented flat. But I live there!

The flat was in a horrible condition. The previous tenant smoked really a lot, I think she was a chain smoker. The erstwhile wallpapers were yellow and brown. I'm so glad that I had people helping me painting the walls white again. While washing the ceiling and door frames, the sponges also got all brown. It was disgusting. D:

But now, it's white and clean again. Horray!
I love the flat. And I also love WHERE it is. I can go everywhere by foot. :3 Everything's nearby! That's so frickin' awesome!

I want to become a vegetarian. There's no special reason. I just want to see if I can.
1. I do not mind eating animals. I hate that animals are kept in mass stocks, but I've always done that.
2. I like the taste of meat, there's no disgust or physical antipathy
3. I don't mind ANYONE eating meat.

I'm abstain from meat for a week now and I feel great. I know that a week is not a really long period of time.. but it's a beginning.

I think I can do that.. most people i told wished me success or told me that they liked this idea. there are only two people until now who don't understand.

I'm gonna be a vegetarian.

Remember my last journal about the flat viewing? The flat's location was great. the supermarket was over the road, 5 minutes to my work place, 10 minutes to the city center and 15 minutes to the train station. too bad the current heirer has to pay almost a second base rent for the carrying costs, such as heating gas. Waaaay too expensive!

Okay, since the last flat wasn't insulated at all, I had to look out for other newspaper advertisements.
Too bad that we get another newspaper here. When I phoned the guys the day the ads were online, the flat was already rent to somebody. Bad luck.. =/

Hence, I phoned the newspaper and asked them for a flat wanted ad. it was printed last saturday and a woman answered. ^^ So.. I'll have my second flat viewing tomorrow afternoon! Wish me luck! :3

I found the ad of a cute small flat online and the lessor promised to phone back as soon as she got in touch with the current hirer so that we will be able to make an appointment for the flat viewing.

The flat seems to fit perfectly. It's small and yet big enough, it's not expensive, it's near my workplace and yet I can reach the city centre in 5-10 minutes.

I'll ask if I'm allowed to have small animals, because I'd like to have some gerbils so that I'm not all alone. :>
